Happy Friday everyone! I thought I would start the weekend off right with a giveaway.

I’ve mentioned Robinhood a few times on the blog, because I think the concept is really cool. Robinhood is a mobile trading platform that lets you trade with ZERO commission fees, unlike the $6-$10 fees per trade that other brokerage firms charge. That means that if you make just 5 trades in a year, you can save up to $50 by using Robinhood.

I love Robinhood not only because I like saving money, but because it was built specifically for us (its average customer age is 27). The founders figured that young, new investors have less money to invest, and therefore fees will take up too big a chunk of their investments. To add to its cool cred, Robinhood even lined up Snoop and Jared Leto as investors.

Robinhood finally launched this week, after 2 years of development. The catch? They have over 500,000 people signed up for their waiting list, which they’re slowly working through over the next two months.

I received my invitation to Robinhood this week – but that’s not all. Robinhood sent me three more instant invitations to send to my friends. That means you can start trading for zero fees without waiting in the 500,000 person line for the app! To thank you all for being such amazing readers, I thought I would share the links with you all in the form of a giveaway.

3 readers will be randomly selected to receive instant access to Robinhood. You can enter in one of four ways:

  1. Leave a comment below
  2. Tweet me or re-tweet one of my tweets
  3. Share a link to the site on your Facebook page (email me with a screenshot)
  4. Sign up to follow the blog and receive emails of new posts (or leave a comment that you’re already subscribed)

Each method counts as an entry, so you can enter up to four times. You have until Sunday night to enter, and winners will be emailed their links on Monday morning (before the market opens)!

Thanks for this post, Rachel! What a neat concept! Even the $6.95 trade fees from banks are a little much.

Hmm it seems like your weblog ate my 1st comment (it was very extended) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring website blogger but I’m still new to every little thing. Do you’ve any factors for beginner website writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
